At home with: The Caltabiano’s

The Caltabiano Family.

Capturing families is more than just taking photographs — I’m trusted to step inside their world, and I don’t take that lightly. This year, I’ll be sharing some of the most special parts of a photoshoot: the laughter, the cuddles, the little things that make a family feel like them. Life can be messy, so I hope these interviews help others feel connected, celebrate the highs, and remind us all of the magic in everyday life.

“Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.” – Robert Brault

Laryssa loves interiors and collecting, so her home is full of curated pieces. I made sure to include these in the images so one day they can reminisce how their home looked and felt.

What does this season of life sound like in your home right now?

Our little family life is full of chaos and love. It is messy, it is busy, it is loud and it is absolutely magical.

If you could bottle one feeling from this time in your life, what would it be?
The feeling of lazy morning cuddles. Messy bed hair, warm hugs and pancakes with sprinkles.

What’s something small or ordinary right now that feels sacred?
Belly laughs.

At home series families photography and documentary

I was actually capturing the kids, when I turned around to find Adrian and Larissa in full of laughter!

Was there a moment that didn’t seem like much at the time, but feels meaningful now?
When my husband and I were standing there, watching our little ones throwing flower petals in the air with absolute joy. In that moment I felt completely content. In that moment I saw just how magic our little life is.

If your photoshoot had a soundtrack, what song would be playing?
Baby, I Love Your Way By Peter Frampton

Mum and Dad standing still while the kids do zoomies.

Was there a part of the session where you felt like, “This is so us”?
Without a doubt, the cuddles and laughs on the bed. Most mornings are spent this way.

When you looked through the photos, what image stopped you in your tracks — and why?
The photo of Jack and Annika looking close into the camera, holding flower petals. Their little faces, their expressions. It just captured them so perfectly. I treasure that photo.

Taken during spring the kids had a lot of fun throwing and collecting flower petals.

A little fun with dress ups and flash photography!
