Every client gets a ‘before your session’ guide that includes some outfit ideas for the whole family. If you’re confident in your style - then I am too! Just aim for comfort, and something you would normally wear. If ballgowns are your usual attire, then go for it!
Totally fine, I actually hate my own photo being taken, so we have that in common. I take the sessions very slow, and encourage all parents to simply engage with their kids. Your kids are far more likely to give you a big smile than me! By the end even the quietest kids are often not wanting me to leave. I keep it fun and light hearted.
Neither does mine! I will find the best spots, but generally you don’t see that much of your house in your photos. My goal is to get the best light, so we often work around windows and small corners of rooms. Backyards, front yards and hallways can also work well! No need to clean like a house inspection, just simply tidy surfaces.

I photograph families locally in Gisborne, Macedon Ranges, but I absolutely love venturing into the Melbourne suburbs too. There is a travel fee to cover petrol and tolls, which I quote separately.
